  7. The SIS Text Formatting System allows a user to control all functions of HP
  8. compatible laser printers through output of an ASCII command file created with
  9. an editor like vi. The software can control all margins, print position,
  10. orientation, line spacing, underline, boldface, and font selection. It can also
  11. be used to download fonts, center or justify text lines, and mail merge
  12.  
  13. The command language includes both ``nroff'' type dot commands and a new
  14. mnemonic printer command language that is descriptive of functions performed by
  15. this class of printers. In addition, new commands can be added for special
  16. functions allowing complete automation without burdening the end user with
  17. complex escape string sequences

  19. The product is ideal for those that want to add basic typesetting functions on
  20. character-based terminals and HP compatible printers without the expense of
  21. postscript. The package is compatible with Digi-Fonts.
